A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Brent has been a professional at South Lakes for over 25 years. He was elected to the Professional Golfers’ Association of America in 2013. Brent was the Head Coach of the Jenks Boys High School Golf Team from 1998-2015. During those 18 years as the Jenks Golf Coach, his teams won six straight championships (1999-2004), five runner-ups, and five third-places. He was also the Coach of the Jenks Boys Jr. High Golf Team from 2015-2017(May). In 2013, Brent was named the South Central Section Assistant Player of the Year. Brent is married to his wife Elo and has two sons, Brett and Ian.

Tanner Hughes is a PGA Professional with a passion for making golf simple, enjoyable, and tailored to every player. Originally from the Chicago area, Tanner played collegiate golf at Chaminade University of Honolulu before returning to Tulsa to pursue a career in the golf industry.

Elected to membership in the PGA of America in 2023, Tanner specializes in player development, club fitting, and building engaging instructional programs for juniors and adults alike. His commitment to growing the game recently earned him the Eastern Oklahoma Teacher & Coach of the Year Award for the South Central Section of the PGA.

Brett grew up in Tulsa, and has called South Lakes home his entire life. Brett’s father is Brent Wilcoxen, the Head golf professional at South lakes, who taught him how to play the great game of golf. The 2025 Northeastern State University graduate played golf at the collegiate level totaling 117 tournament rounds with a stroke average of 75.07 as a member of the Riverhawks. He is a recipient of the prestigious Everett Dobson award. Brett was also a member of the 2019 Owasso Rams State Championship team. Brett has a brother Ian who is going to play golf at Northeastern State as well. Brett wants to instill his immense competitive golf experience to junior golfers with hopes of playing at the collegiate level, and also teach the fundamentals of golf that any golfer can strive to perfect.
